CLOCKWISE CHATTE: SMASH THE PATRIARCHY/PRAISE THE MATRIARCHY

Hey you! Yes, you – pesky patriarchy! I’m talking to your bloated ass. And to your ugly face! It’s time you are smashed to oblivion – amirite, or ami-fucking-rite?

So that is what Clockwise Cat aims to do with the fall/winter issue (Issue 44)  – smash the patriarchy once and for all!

Does this mean that for Issue 44 we shun submissions from men? Why no, no it doesn’t – but guess what? We have already reached our QUOTA of male submitters for Issue 44. Therefore, you’re shit out of luck if you have a weenie and a wish. Take that, phallic phalluses of the phalli-verse!

Clockwise Cat is the matriarchy, after all – not exclusive of men, but definitely dominated by women! In past issues, we have tried to be, anyway, but have often failed – more frequently than there should be, there has been an imbalanced bias toward men, even if it’s a slight, unintentional one.

This time, though, we WILL rectify the disequilibrium. There WILL be more female writers and artists, with a smattering of men, just to prove we don’t hate them, we just hate their dastardly dominance in society!

To be fair, we are not necessarily in favor of ANY dominance or hierarchy – we aren’t exactly anarchists, but we aren’t exactly NOT anarchists either. We are anarchist-adjacent, maybe, or maybe we just think for ourselves and don’t give a stinky crap about labels and categories and ideologies.

All of that is to say that, if there IS to be a dominance in society – an “archy,” if you will –  it should ALWAYS be by women. So there. Hence, the matriarchy. The Supersonic Yonic, if you will.

So here’s the deal. Tag and text all yer femmey femme friends (yes, we are aware that “femme” has two connotations, and OBVIOUSLY we want women of whatever sexual persuasion) and have them read the submissions guidelines (ALL OF THEM, BITCHEZ –  sans complaint! They are located in the menu items at the top below the Clockwise Cat banner), and then submit their pretty little or plus-size ASSES off to Issue 44 of Clockwise Cat – tentatively titled Clockwise Chatte: Smash the Patriarchy/Praise the Matriarchy. Deadline is mid-September, 2024.
